Monitoring system

This module provides a complete monitoring service (SNMP, Ping, HPing, …) that allows monitoring of data traffic through Internet interfaces, connectivity to representative sites, status of device’s internal resources and state of both local and remote sensors.

This pack also allows capture of numerical data embedded within any web page, definition of graphics for data display, and warnings and alarms generation.

Due to this capacity of monitoring it is possible to integrate COMMS MUNDI in systems for control of industrial processes, building / home automation systems, video surveillance, alarms management, access control and other security systems.

In order to access to this advanced monitoring service it is necessary to acquire the “Monitoring”* and “Basic system” modules.

* Data traffic (traffic shapping function) and telephony service monitoring need the additional modules "Telephony service" and "Advanced networking".

Monitoring system specifications

Telephony
  • Display of voice lines status (available, communicating, error …)
  • Display of telephony terminals status
  • Display of recorded call details on a per user basis
  • Logs of actions, status and state changes
Networking
  • Display of network's interfaces status, IP addressing and defined data routes
  • Logs of actions and events
Basic IT services
  • Monitoring of services status
  • Possibility to shutdown and restart all the services
  • Logs of actions and state changes
Very powerful graphical monitoring utility which allows the immediate resolution of the majority of problems:
  • Easy creation, modification and deletion of a high number of graphics
  • Graphic display of data traffic (load distribution among different managed data interfaces)
  • Graphic display of machine's internal's resources usage
  • Easy monitoring of the own COMMS MUNDI as well as of remote sites via SNMP, ICMP Ping or HPing:
    • SNMP. It allows to monitor the own COMMS MUNDI parameters as well as those of external equipment items (CPU load, memory usage, links status, used bandwidth, HDD usage, etc.)
    • ICMP PING. It allows to know the status (failure, overload) of devices and networks by means of their response time
    • TCP PING. Similar to the previous one but using any TCP port. Very useful when the destination or intermediate networks does not allow ICMP PING
  • Capture of a numerical value inside a Web page. It is only needed to indicate the string of characters before and after the value to be captured. It is also possible to apply a multiplier and an offset to the captured value before its display
  • Alarms generation (mail) based on signal levels
  • Allows monitoring of remote company’s branches, sensors, control of industrial processes...

As consequence of its monitoring capability and capacity, it is possible to ingrate COMMS MUNDI into industrial process control systems, building/home automation systems, video surveillance, alarms management, access control and any other security system.
