Basic IT services
 

This module provides basic corporate business-oriented services:

File service
  • Definition of storage and/or backup spaces for every user. Quota management.
  • Definition of a common space, capable of being shared by all the users.
  • Access to these spaces via either Web or FTP or Samba.
  • System configuration files’ backup utility.

HTTP server (Web pages)
  • Assignment of space to company and employees’ web pages, which allows the implementation of Intranet and project and personal pages.
  • Virtual host definition.
  • Secure access (SSL) and CGI and PHP scripts execution.

E-mail server
  • The internal e-mail server can be used to send and receive the corporative e-mail.
  • Admits POP3, IMAP and SMTP protocols.
  • Supports secure TLS and SSL protocols.
  • Allows user authentication be requested.
  • Includes the Fetchmail function (the internal email server download messages from external email accounts and send them to their final destination).
  • Provides Webmail.

Basic IT services specifications
 

File server

  • Assignment of storage and/or backup space for every user. Quota management.
  • Assignment of a common space for allowing users to share their works.
  • All these spaces are accessible via Web, FTP and Samba.

FTP server. Provides access to the allocated user's disk spaces and the possibility to set an ‘anonymous’ account.

HTTP server (Web pages). It provides a space dedicated to company and employees’ web pages that allow the implementation of Intranet and personal pages. It allows creation of virtual hosts, SSL access and execution of CGI scripts and PHP code.

E-mail server. Accepts POP3, IMAP and SMTP protocols, secure mail via TLS and/or SSL, users authentication, Fetchmail (utility used to retrieve e-mail from a remote mail server to the user's local system) and Web mail.
