COMMS MUNDI is a software application based in an innovative concept and architecture composed of an impressive set of modules which can be separately acquired and activated or deactivated in an independent way in order to provide the precise functionality required by their users. Therefore, COMMS MUNDI is a flexible platform on which can be installed countless cost-effective services that match the enterprise’s current and future needs. All modules are close interconnected, offering a real integration of technologies and new and empowered functions. COMMS MUNDI can be installed on the great majority of commercial (COTS) servers provided with 64-bits AMD or Intel processors.

The key characteristics of COMMS MUNDI are listed below:

BASIC SYSTEM
This is the basic module, whose acquisition is essential because it provides the minimum services needed for the proper work of the rest of modules. It is composed of the unified user interface based on web pages, user management service, basic networking functions (routing, NAT, DHCP y DNS), NTP server and a MySQL database.

TELEPHONY SERVICE
The "Telephony services" module is build up around a high performance’s digital VoIP PBX, which, besides the usual functions found on standard PBX (call management, call forwarding, multi-conference, IVR, ...), provides a rich set of more advanced features (high quality videoconference, integrated fax (T.38), automatic fax discrimination, possibility to send and receive fax through e-mail clients, access to configuration and telephony consumption via Web.

CALL CENTER
The“Call center” module allows management of multiple call queues and several enterprises at the same time.

ADVANCED NETWORKING
This module provides advanced packet identification (Deep Packet Inspection) that allows data processing decisions be made at level 7 of the OSI’s reference model. Besides that, it provides a Load balancer (which allows multiple Internet connections management) and a level-7 Traffic shaper / QoS controller.

IP SECURITY
The “IP security” module provides a complete Unified Threat Management (UTM) system, which protects the enterprise against unauthorised access as well as contributes to limit worker’s access to external networks.

BASIC IT SERVICES
This module provides basic corporate services as Web, email and file servers. The file server provides storage space in a per user basis and a common space for sharing their contents.

MONITORING
Provides a complete monitoring service (SNMP, Ping, HPing, …) that allows monitoring of data traffic through Internet interfaces, connectivity to representative sites, status of the device’s internal resources and state of both local and remote sensors.

VIRTUAL SERVER (LINUX OR WINDOWS)
This module provides virtual machines, which allow enterprises to install their own applications without disturbing the normal operation of telephony and data communication services.

CAPTIVE PORTAL AND AUTHENTICATION
The “Captive portal” controls access to Internet, mainly when public access applications are used.

BILLING
This service allows the definition of call rates (call duration fee, call setup fee and free of charge interval).

GREEN TECHNOLOGY
COMMS MUNDI is installed on a standard COTS server, avoiding the need of several devices for attaining the same functionality. This way, COMMS MUNDI’s installation and deployment show low energy consumption, need small space, do not require special air-conditioning and provide an excellent maintenance.
