Basic system

The Basic system provides the minimum services needed for proper working of the rest of functional modules. So, the basic module cannot be separately acquired. For example, should a VoIP PBX be installed, it would be necessary to acquire two modules: “Basic system” and “Telephony service”.

The Basic system includes the following functions:

  • Unified system management / User management service.
  • Basic networking functions (routing, NAT) / DHCP server / DNS server.
  • NTP server.
  • MySQL database.

Management system

Simple and friendly user interface (GUI) based on web pages. Main functions (voice, data, security, services, monitoring, and general settings) are displayed as tabs which include submenus that allow the configuration of every function and parameter. The GUI provides three levels of access: User, Local administrator (company) and advanced administrator (integrator for installation and maintenance):
  • User. Allows the user to consult their setup parameters, telephony consumption, voice mailbox, files and modify its web pages and other services associated with its account. User access is made through a GUI different from that of system administrators.
  • Local administrator. The local administrator accesses to all the functions and options allowed by the Advanced administrator; the Advanced administrator defines the access level and accessible functions to Local administrators.
  • Advanced administrator. The advanced administrator has complete access to the whole system functions for monitoring, configuration and problem solving. He/she can easily manage several enterprises.
User’s management. Registration, dismission and modification of system users.

Remote management and maintenance. Secure access by means of SSL and IPSec tunnels (VPN).

Monitoring tools that allow the detection of failures on data and voice links, the LAN and the own equipment.

Activation/Deactivation of individual services. Start, restart and stop of each of them.

System start, restart and stop.

Basic networking

Routing. Definition of default and static routes.

NAT. Allows source (SNAT) and/or destination (DNAT) addresses translation.

DHCP Server. It manages the LAN IP addressing and accepts assignment of fixed IP addresses to certain DHCP clients.

DNS server. Allows both management of own domains inside the LAN and relay of esternal requesta. Admits DNS balancing.
